Sleeve/Slip Type Expansion Joint

SLEEVE TYPE EXPANSION JOINT MANUFACTURERS

Slip Joints, also called Sleeve type Expansion Joint or Gland Compensators, are provided in pipe / duct systems to absorb longitudinal (axial) thermal movements (expansion & contraction), between fixed anchor points.

The longitudinal movement is accommodated by an arrangement similar to a plunger and stuffing box, consisting of telescopic sleeves, sliding one over the other, with packing rings being provided between the sleeves within a stuffing box, and held by a gland and retaining rings with bolts/studs and nuts. The outer surface of the inner sleeve is fine finished to facilitate smooth movement. The bolts / stud when tightened sufficiently, cause the gland to press the packing rings, which, in turn, bear upon the smooth surface of the inner sleeve to prevent leakage.

RB-Flex Slip type Expansion Joint or Sleeve Type Expansion Joint Manufacturers are designed and manufactured as per IS 11639 or equivalent.
